For the exchange student interested in project management, business development and entrepreneurship.

Exchange Programme

Target Group

Students who have completed an AP degree in Marketing Management. Alternatively, the student must have completed at least two years of a similar education at bachelor level.

Purpose 

During this semester, the student will learn to develop and execute business opportunities in new and existing companies and to implement innovation processes. The student will have the opportunity to build a personal network and work on the sustainable development of a new or existing company, just as learn to relate to the connection between resources, relationships, processes, and results.

General Information

Teaching Methods

There are several different teaching and working methods at UCL University College. For example cooperation with a business, lectures, case studies, business projects, minor assignments, practical and theoretical exercises, laboratory work, oral presentation, homework, excursions and the like.

The teaching can be theme-oriented, as well as divided into different subjects.

The purpose of the working methods is that the students, through the methods chosen by the programme, acquire knowledge, skills and competencies within the core components of the programme, and that the student also uses these in accordance with the learning objectives of the programme.

Conditions

In order to complete the module and obtain a certificate, the student has to:

Attend for mandatory learning activities (guests or company visits).

Meet deadlines and requirements related to handing in final problem statements, approvals, report hand-ins, attendance and exams.

Tuition Fee

Learning Outcome

The elective course has as a goal to empower the students with knowledge of using the equipment in the Fablab so they can expand their possibilities in prototyping the idea.

After getting workshops in each of the fablab pieces of equipment, they have to generate ideas and create a physical trophy for "The incubator of the year" event. (More info in the 1st day)

The winner project will be the actual trophy.

They will also need to be able to have at least 2 badges earn after this program.

European Youth Award

Learning Outcome

The elective is to participate and be part of the European Youth Award festival in Graz, which means that a study trip is included in the course. All expenses for the study trip must be sustained by the student.

Examination

Detailed description of the examination form:

The first internal examination is a combined written and oral exam related to the subjects of first semester. The oral examination is based on a written report; the students are responsible for a group presentation and are afterwards examined individually.

The first internal examination is partly a group exam. A group is defined as 3-5 people.

Other criteria for testing are:

  • The length of the written report must be equivalent to 21.000 characters incl. spaces per student. Thus a group of 3 students will require 63.000 characters incl. spaces.
  • It must be clearly written who is responsible for which part of the report.
  • The oral exam is 20 minutes group presentation followed by a 30 minutes individual exam. The examination time includes discussion and awarding of the grade.

There is an internal censor.
