Find out what your options are
If you are going to study abroad and are eligible to receive SU, you can still receive your SU grant while you are abroad, as long as your course of study grants credits. You also have the opportunity to apply for various scholarships or grants, depending on where you are going, the length of your stay abroad, and whether you are going to study or do a traineeship.
Studying abroad
As a student at UCL you have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship or grant if you are going to study abroad, especially if you are studying at one of our partner institutions (see our partner map), but also if you are studying at an educational institution that UCL does not have an agreement with. The advantages of studying at one of our partner institutions are that you do not have to pay tuition fees, and that we help you apply for a scholarship.

Traineeships abroad
As a student at UCL, you can apply for a grant through the Erasmus+ or Nordplus programmes if you are doing a traineeship in an EU/EEC country, in Greenland or the Faroe Islands.
