Semester Programme
For the exchange student interested in numbers and people
Target Group
Students currently enrolled in a Business degree at Bachelor level.
Purpose
- In the course Macroeconomics, we focus on society level economic objectives.
- The Statistics course includes descriptive statistics as well as statistical analysis tools.
- The course International Capital Markets contains tools for analyzing developments in capital markets, both nationally and internationally.
- The course Cultural Understanding covers organizational and corporate culture as well as cultural challenges.
- The Marketing course includes marketing theories and tools, as well as analysis of the company’s strategy.
- The Organization course contains organizational theory concepts, methods, and tools, as well as an understanding of one’s own role and significance within an organization.
Proof of English proficiency
All applicants for this offer must show proof of English language proficiency corresponding to a minimum of B2 on the CEFR scale. This can be done by submitting one of the accepted language certificates through the application form.
The accepted certificates and minimum requirements are:
- IELTS: Minimum score: 6.5
- TOEFL internet-based test: Minimum score: 94 (for tests taken before 21st January 2026) or 4.5 (for tests taken after 21st January 2026)
- Cambridge ESOL examinations: Advanced/CAE or Proficiency/CPE - Grade: C, B or A
- Cambridge ESOL examinations First Certificate: Grade: A
- Oxford Online Placement test: Minimum score: 75 overall + 75 in each subtest
The submitted certificates must not be older than 3 years to be considered valid.
If the applicant does not upload an English test, they will automatically be invited to complete an online test issued by UCL. Applicants may also be invited for an online interview upon our request.
Teaching Methods
All teaching and counselling is in oral and written English. You will experience a lot of different teaching methods such as lectures, presentations, dialogue, exchange of experiences, group work, independent studies, portfolio work and a project work at the end of the module.
Classroom teaching is provided along with exercises and assignments.
Conditions
In order to complete the module and obtain a certificate, the student has to pass the exams.
Tuition Fee

Cultural Understanding
The course element Cultural Understanding covers organizational and corporate culture as well as cultural challenges. In addition, it includes the internationalization process when business customers (B2B) establish themselves and operate in a foreign market.

Joint interdisciplinary examination in Cultural Understanding, Organization, and Marketing
Oral group exam based on a submitted written pitch presentation.
The exam has a total duration of 15 minutes per student, but no less than 30 minutes in total, including grading.
As a rule, students are examined in groups of 2–4 students.
In special, well‑justified cases, the programme may grant an exemption from the group size requirement.
Joint examination in Macroeconomics, International Capital Markets, and Statistics
Oral group examination based on a group project prepared and submitted prior to the exam.
Each group normally consists of 2–4 students. In special, well‑justified cases, the programme may grant an exemption from the group size requirement.
The exam consists of: a 5‑minute group presentation, and 15 minutes of individual examination per student.
