Doing a clinical placement in Denmark will give you the possibilities to face new professional challenges and solutions within Occupational Therapy.

Exchange Programme

Possible Combinations

A traineeship can be combined with the short course InnoAddiction.

Target Group

Occupational Therapy exchange students enrolled at one of our partner institutions.

Purpose

The exchange student brings the wanted learning outcomes which will direct the learning activities at the clinical placement.

Teaching Methods

Each Occupational Therapy (OT) setting has a clinical teacher who is responsible for planning the exchange period and the learning activities. She/he is responsible for the final evaluation/feedback and signing the documents related to the clinical placement.

The OT exchange student will be connected to a contact person from the OT department at UCL University College.

Before arrival, the student will receive a scheduled programme for the exchange period.

Please be aware that the clinical placement can be located outside of Odense and that there can be transports costs.

Please refrain from booking accommodation until you know where your internship is located.

Conditions

UCL University College offers clinical placements at hospitals and in the municipalities. There will be a limited number of places. 

In order to complete the traineeship and obtain a certificate, the student has to:

  • The student has to have English language skills at B2 level. Only exceptions to this requirement are students from Norway, Sweden, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
  • A week is 37 working hours: 4 days per week at the clinical placement and 1 day per week studying (reading relevant literature related to clinical experiences and reflections).
  • Follow the agreed timetable

Tuition Fee

Not applicable for EU/EEA-students and exchange students from partner institutions, all other students must pay. In this case, please send an e-mail to international@ucl.dk to learn more. 

The OT student will be evaluated and if the student brings evaluation/feedback certificate from home institution, it will be applied. There is no exam for traineeships, but the period will be assessed approved or not approved.

The internship period will be assessed as approved or not approved. There are no exams nor grading.
