Rehabilitation in health and daily life

We conduct research on rehabilitation initiatives involving citizens, professionals, institutions, and students, aiming to with the aim of developing an updated, interdisciplinary, and holistic approach to rehabilitation.

Program focus

We focus on the citizen’s life world and context to enable a meaningful daily life. Health services in a welfare society should help individuals utilize their resources and potential, for example, by engaging in family life and actively participating in the community.

Person-centered and well-coordinated cross-sectoral, and interdisciplinary rehabilitation is a crucial factor in preserving, developing, and restoring functional abilities, allowing each citizen to achieve or regain the highest possible level of independence, dignity, and meaning in everyday life.

Rehabilitation thus supports health equity, ensuring that people with reduced functional abilities have the same opportunities as everyone else.
